Environment and Health Action Programme
for North Rhine-Westphalia

Being aware of the importance of preventive environmental and health protection especially in urban agglomeration areas, North Rhine-Westphalia has drawn up its own Environment and Health Action Programme (APUG NRW). The APUG NRW completes the German national programme, and builds on the structures established in NRW. One of the priorities when implementing the programme is the focus on the local level. This strategy complies with the proposal formulated at the 1999 WHO Ministerial Conference.
